Nissan India has come up with its new sedan Sunny. It is based on its hatchback model Micra. It was launched at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition in December 2010. It is expected to be available in India by January 2012 probably at the Auto Expo in New Delhi in both petrol and diesel variant. It will come in three variants namely Nissan Sunny Petrol XE, Nissan Sunny Petrol XL and Nissan Sunny Petrol XV.

Engine 

It will be initially available in 1498cc 4 cylinder 97 Bhp petrol engine, which will churn out maximum power of 97 bhp at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 134 nm at 4000 rpm. The diesel model, which will be coming later, is expected to have 100 Bhp 1500cc diesel engine.

Exterior

It is going to be one of the most stylish and best looking cars in its segment. It will feature chrome finish front Grille, chrome finish rear garnish, body colored mud flaps, chrome plated outside door handle, which will add to its looks. The fog lights, alloy wheels, door side mouldings are another attractive features. Top models will also have chrome inserts in the side door moulding.

Interiors

It will have spacious and comfy interiors. New color scheme and rear ac vents for the comfort of the rear passengers are on the list. It will have interior features such as Power windows, Power steering, Climate control system, rear center armrest with cup holders, electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors, remote central locking, keyless entry system, push button start or stop system, dash integrated MP3 CD player with four speakers and AUX port etc. other features include 12 V accessory socket, headlight on warning lamp, key remove warning lamp, auto AC with filter, steering mounted audio controls, driver side front window with auto down & anti-pinch function, central door lock, driver & passenger vanity mirror, boot lamp and remote keyless entry.

Its safety features are expected to include SRS airbag, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), BA (Brake Assist) and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution). The top models will have dual SRS airbags along with other safety features.
