It is now available for GBP549 on preorder. That is about Rs. 41,000. So the phone will not be less than that I guess. I read somewhere that is around Rs. 47,500. Hopefully it is less than that. If it is 32k, i will buy it with my eyes closed

Sorry to be the spoiler but the Samsung Galaxy S2 i.e. i9100 will be between Rs.31000 to 47000. Yes 47000. This is judging through reports of it being launched in places other than India and going by the prior pricing experience of Samsung India.
But yes being the good phone that it is (other than the fact Samsung has something against FM transmitters, they never put it in their phone, dont know what the big deal is) its said to have everything needed, including the hardware to support any and ever know Android app.

guyz thz phne z launched in singapore nd south korea, last week i.e. end f march,, my friend’s elder brother works in samsung, thailand n thz z gonna launch there arnd mid of may i.e. after 15th f may…. n aftr 1 month it wil b launched in india…. so guys thz wud b launched after jun 15 or in july… n abt the price,, it wud be arnd 42k in india coz in singapore it costs the amnt whch z equivalent to INR 42k.. Bt since in india, the same phne wil hav sum lower specifications thn the phne launched in singapore n south korea thus it may cost in b/w 35 to 40k,, approx 38k in india….

Im eagerly waiting for this mobile since the day its been announced !Im sure the price would be 30+ coz of Dual core processor and 1GB RAM, it will be launched in 32k range as launching price and may be slowly goes down in span of 3months as more Manufactures start rolling Dual core processor mobiles, The one next is LG Optimus 2X Stands competition to this model,but overall Samsung will be the winner. I bet Optimus 2X is not going to be runner up but winner as well. have u read the specifications? just like optimus one beaten all other samsung models for the price and features of it for example 512 MB ram, which none of the samsung models were having within its price range and also that dense LCD with 16 M Color it is amazing phone with price tag from 10 to 12 k (including price at launch also). and other samsung models which were not even close to it that time of launch, only now galaxy ace can be a competitor for optimus one but then again its priced around 14-15k which tells the story that its LG is not going to be behind any competition

Release date of GS2 is said to be in the Month of May. Exact date is unknown. Keep googling

If you ask then

Optimus 2x ~30k

Talking in terms of doing float point calculations and core computing power Tegra 2 is better than Mali 400mp gpu.

But Optimus 2x is slowed due to Android 2.2 Froyo. Once it gets updated to a more Terga 2 friendly O.S i.e a custom Ginger bread 2.3 or forthcoming 2.4 only then you will see the real power of Optimus 2x. Who knows, may be Dev’s are able to port Honey Comb 3.0 Android for Optimus 2x, since tergra 2 is best suited for Tablet O.S Honeycomb.

Keep studying, if you buy some thing this sophisticated, then you must Honor. May it be GS2 or O2X. Learn to admire the device, for us geeks it’s more than a status symbol.

One more thing, GS2 is being released clocked at 1.2 Ghz. Now there is a speculation that some region will/may be getting Terga 2 based. But then again Tegra 2 is Native 1Ghz, then it may be Over clocked. All I can say is, we all must have patience. Believe me I have been waiting for Galaxy S2 since October 200, since it was a rumor from South Korea.

I sold my HTC HERO in March after seeing the MWC Barcelona, to raise money for either Optimus 2x or GS2. From Hero now I am using Nokia 1600.

Believe me, no one is waiting as bad as I am.

Guys don’t buy this phone. Because samsung is planning to bring the samsung galaxy s III in MWC 2012 with the specification of 5 inch super amoled plus 3D display with the resoultion of 1920 x 1080 pixel, 2 Ghz quad core processor with 1 GB graphic memory and 2 GB RAM.

The hardware seems to be very promising. So if you could wait for one more year, you will get the most advanced mobile phone on the earth with the same price you are providing now for galaxy s II. So i suggest you not to waste your money for galaxy s II, instead wait for galaxy s III. Just one year wait, then you will have Samsung Galaxy S III in your hands. So wait wait wait wait wait for 1 year.

hello frnds …. many of u quoted the price range from 27k to 37k and its purely based on the memory 16gb or 32gb ,, but this phone features nfc(near field communication), and the phone itself lauched with and without nfc ..the thickness of the phone increases with presence of nfc.. so anyone know about the price of phone with and without nfc…. waiting for ur reply friends

Guys. the price of Galaxy is not going to be less than 40 K. in Us the price is between $850 to $1000. check in ebay. it is also available in ebay.in for indian customers the price listed is above 50k INR. I dont think the cost of phone to be anything less than 40K by any chance in India. may be after they announce next model of Galaxy S Series the price will drop down to 35K. for now the best option i can see is LG Optimus 2X. I saw its video comperasion with Motorola’s recent big release Atrix. and Optimus was better than Atrix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X63SERGNmNI also Optimus has a Tegra 2 processor. the price listed in univercell.in is 30K i asume i can get a better deal if i check in stores like girias, Pie and some other stores in Bangalore. Guys if u find S2 to be too expensive you can go for HTC Sensation. It is going to be released soon with almost the same features except for:
1. S2 has 1gb RAM and Sensation has 768mb RAM
2. S2 has 2mp front camera and Sensation has 1.3mp
3. S2 has a lower resolution comparison to Sensation
4. S2 has single flash and Sensation has dual flash

Initially Samsung Galaxy S II (i9100) was decided to launched in India in the month of May, however it was delayed as Samsung lately decided to put a 1.2 Ghz dual core processor instead of the previously reported 1Ghz dual core thing. Now, it should be towards last week of May or first week of June.

damn this. samsung should not make it too expencive for the indians…
The 16 gig should be about 35k then it makes some sence.
Thing is the phone is so awesome that i dont mind paying a lill more.
Nfc might not be an issue for the price and the 1.2ghz will just make it more awesome.
Lol granted that it makes a lill diff…..
But the tegra are the best.
Anyways off topic, the phone is great, would buy it the second its out……

the guys at Samsung twitted saying it will be available in stores by May end. A website is selling on pre order at 38k & 51k for 16gb & 32gb variants respectively. Since LG Optimus 2X will sell in India at 30k, Galaxy S2 should be at max 35k for the 16gb variant

Hello Guys.. Galaxy S2 can be bought from eBay for 38000 rupees. Product location is UK. So in india, price will definitely be less than 38k. Expect it to be Rs.35,000.

The MRP is 32830/- (Maximum retail price). The online price will be around 28K-30K after June 9 2011. Wait and u will not regret.

Officially launched in Delhi on 25-May-2011 with price tag of Rs32,890 and will be available in stores 02-June-2011 onwards. Some web sites already given price as Rs28,000.

The phone is now available for pre-order from the Samsung website. It costs Rs. 32,830. Also, they are offering Rs 4,599 worth of goodies which includes a bluetooth headset, a HDTV adapter, screen protector, and a phone case. I am guessing it will be available in the stores by first or second week of June.

Its already available 32K on Ebay and around 29K on other sites If HTC Sensation gonna be cheaper then SGII ill be going for that.

Much awaited Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100) has been launched on 25-May-2011 at Delhi. But price are too high Rs32,890. Anyway it would be available in Indian market by 09-June-2011 and chill guyes defenitely will not be Rs32,890.

As per my calculation it might come with price tag of Rs27,000 to 29,000 (Per my opinion) what i have found with other newely launched ANDROID phones.

frndz it is the awesome mobile phone. And the best feature is that it is super slim only 8.9mm and light weight. And it is available for around 29000 Rs/- I think it is not so much for this feature packed mobile phone.

I want go for a latest advanced mobiles phone. The choice so far was Blackberry Bold III 9780 bcoz i wanted to use bb services. But now seeing the Glaxy S2 specifications and performance I planned to go for it. I would request whether Android 2.3 S2 is supporting is upgradable.
